CC Cycle 1 Week 13 Lesson: Earth’s Tilt and Placer Deposits explores two key areas of Earth science through hands-on investigation. In the first activity, students model the Earth’s tilt on its axis and follow its orbit around the sun to discover how the seasons are connected to that tilt. In the second activity, students learn how placer deposits form by creating their own placer deposits within the Classical Conversations Cycle 1 curriculum.
This lesson supports hands-on science, model-based learning, and classical inquiry, helping students connect observable models to real-world Earth processes.
