Plain Owl Pellet for Biology Labs | Ecology & Food Web Studies
This owl pellet is an engaging classroom specimen used to explore ecology and food webs through hands-on investigation. Commonly used in elementary, middle school, and high school science classrooms, owl pellets allow students to study predator–prey relationships by examining the undigested remains of an owl’s meal. Each compact pellet measures approximately 1.0–1.5 inches in length and contains skeletal elements from at least one prey animal, making it ideal for hands-on classroom analysis and data collection activities.

Discounts are available for classroom sets when purchasing more than ten owl pellets.
Did You Know? Owls swallow their prey whole, but parts like bones and fur cannot be digested. Instead of passing through the digestive system, these materials are compressed into a pellet and later regurgitated, giving scientists and students a snapshot of what the owl ate.
